Sadly, here in the UK I'm struggling to find much motorsport to attend in January. Apart from the Autosport show at the NEC, and a handful of rallys, there isn't a great deal around. However, once we get into March, the season really starts to get busy.

For me, it's looking like March through to June will see me at a track for one thing or another pretty much every weekend (and it only stops at June because lots of calendars for smaller stuff haven't been announced yet). Ill put as much info about each event as I can, so anyone else wishing to use this as a calendar or for info can. Plus I'll stick some links at the bottom to places to find this info people can make their own plans.

So here where I'm planning to be this year:

Feb:

Wyedean Rally – Forest of Dean.

It's a single day, 7 or maybe 8 stage rally based in the forests on the welsh boarder. Went in 2013 and it was a great event, very much a club event, but still good fun.

March:

Goodwood Members Meet.

Group C and Can Am cars. Goodwood. Don't really need to say any more. Super excited for this one.

April:

BTCC – Brands Hatch season opener.

Become a bit of a tradition for me this one. The BTCC is looking likely to be a cracker in 15. And even better, the support grids are sounding very full, so the whole day should be an even better event too.

WEC & ELMS – Silverstone.

Another traditional event for me and another that looks to be even better in 2015. Nissan joining the field. Porsche looking strong. Audi are not likely to design/build an underpowered car 2 years in a row. Toyota surely favorites.

And the ELMS is rumored to be running with at least a 40 car field. All backed up with the wonderful commentary of Radio Le Mans.

Dunlop 24h – Silverstone.

The return of the Britcar 24hr at Silverstone. Not sure what to expect of this event, but the entry list is already looking pretty strong, and I want to support the return of this event the only way I know how. By standing trackside with my trusty camera, and then writing about it here.

May :

Blancpain Sprint Series – Brands Hatch.

GT3 cars. World Class drivers. The full GP loop at Brands. I can't really see this as being anything other than excellent.

Nurburgring 24h – Nurburgring.

Very much up for heading back to this. Might well be a flying visit rather than the full thing like 2014 for me, but either way, the Nordschleife at night is calling me.

FIA Historic Masters – Brands Hatch.

Closer to home, the FIA historic Masters with F1, Sports Cars, GTs and Super Touring Cars blasting through the woods. Pretty good way to spend a weekend.

June:

BTCC – Oulton park

Having got a season ticket for the 4 MSV tracks, I feel I really should make an effort to visit the two I have yet to attend. BTCC is a reliable good event, so makes the LONG trip more worth while. To put Long trip into perspective, from where I live, its about 2 hours further to Spa Francorchamps than to Oulton.

Le Mans.

The Big One. Cannot wait for this. Never been to Le Mans for the race before (though I went to the museum on a family holiday many years ago). Cant really say much more than Can't Wait.

And that takes me to mid June…. Going to be a busy year for me and my camera. Oppo will be the first to see my pictures (and ramblings) though I will be cross posting to my own little blog, which I will link purely for shameless self-promotion.

You should check when the Monte Carlo Classic rally is scheduled if ir passes near you. One of the start is in Glasgow (the others being Reims, Copenhagen, Turin and Barcelona). Starts are aroudn the 30 January.

Or Monte Carlo rally in mid-January, if you're ready to go all the way to southern France.

You gonna go for the "sleep in the stands" experience at Le Mans? Or are you even staying the full 24?
